A Prayer for God’s Blessing on a New Church Plant: Transforming the Community

Heavenly Father, with humble hearts, we approach You as we embark on this new church planting initiative. We place our unwavering faith in Your unfailing love and the divine plan You have for our community. Your Word assures us in Proverbs 16:3, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” We trust in this promise as we begin this vital work.

Lord Jesus, the cornerstone of our faith, we pray Your blessing upon this new church. May Your Holy Spirit fill this space, empowering us to impact our community for Your glory. We long to be a beacon of hope, extending Your saving grace to all who are lost and broken. As 1 Peter 2:9 states, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” We pray to live into this calling.

Holy Spirit, we invite Your abiding presence within this new church plant, guiding our every step and leading us in truth and righteousness. Ignite within us a fervent passion for Your work, empowering us to manifest the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
