Lakini pia, kwa imani yetu katika Yesu, tunajikomboa na dhambi. Kama ilivyoelezwa katika Warumi 6:23, "Maana mshahara wa dhambi ni mauti; bali karama ya Mungu ni uzima wa milele katika Kristo Yesu Bwana wetu." Kwa hiyo, kwa kuamini katika Yesu, tunajikomboa na matokeo ya dhambi yetu.
Imani yetu katika Yesu inapaswa kuonyeshwa katika matendo yetu. Kama ilivyoelezwa katika Yakobo 2:17, "Vivyo hivyo na imani, pasipo matendo, imekufa nafsini mwake." Kwa hiyo, wakati tunamwamini Yesu, tunapaswa kufuata amri zake na kuishi kwa njia inayompendeza Mungu.
Kumwamini Yesu pia kunatufanya kuwa sehemu ya familia ya Mungu. Kama ilivyoelezwa katika Yohana 1:12-13, "Lakini wote waliompokea aliwapa uwezo wa kufanyika watoto wa Mungu, ndio wale waliaminio jina lake; ambao hawakuzaliwa kwa damu, wala kwa mapenzi ya mwili, wala kwa mapenzi ya mtu, bali kwa Mungu." Kwa hiyo, kwa kuamini katika Yesu, tunakuwa watoto wa Mungu na tuko ndani ya familia yake.
Kwa kuamini katika Yesu, tunapata amani. Kama ilivyoelezwa katika Yohana 14:27, "Amani nawaachieni; amani yangu nawapa; nisiwapa kama ulimwengu utoavyo. Msiwe na wasiwasi mioyoni mwenu, wala msiwe na woga." Kwa hiyo, tunapata amani ya Mungu ambayo inazidi ufahamu wetu.
Kumwamini Yesu pia kunatupa Msaada wa Roho Mtakatifu. Kama ilivyoelezwa katika Yohana 14:16-17, "Nami nitamwomba Baba, naye atawapa Msaidizi mwingine, ili akae nanyi hata milele, Roho wa kweli, ambaye ulimwengu hauwezi kumpokea, kwa kuwa haumwoni wala haumtambui; bali ninyi mnamtambua, kwa kuwa anakaa kwenu, naye atakuwa ndani yenu." Kwa hiyo, Roho Mtakatifu anatupa msaidizi wa kuishi maisha ya Kikristo.
Kumwamini Yesu pia kunatupa matumaini. Kama ilivyoelezwa katika 1 Wakorintho 15:19, "Kama katika maisha haya tu tumeweka matumaini yetu katika Kristo, sisi ni maskini kuliko watu wote." Kwa hiyo, tuna matumaini ya uzima wa milele na ufufuo wa miili yetu.
Kumwamini Yesu ni safari ya upendo na ukombozi ambayo inaleta mabadiliko katika maisha yetu. Kwa hiyo, napenda kuuliza, je, umemwamini Yesu? Je, unaishi kwa njia ambayo inamfurahisha Mungu? Je, unatumia msaidizi wa Roho Mtakatifu katika maisha yako ya Kikristo? Nakuomba kujitathmini na kuwa na safari ya upendo na ukombozi katika Kristo Yesu.
