A Prayer for Freedom from Addiction: Finding Healing in Christ

Your Word assures us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." We cling to this promise, finding solace in the knowledge of Your constant presence, even in our darkest hours. This truth empowers us to face each challenge with courage and hope, trusting in Your provision.

Jesus, our compassionate Savior, we implore You to extend Your merciful hand to those ensnared by addiction. Your invitation in Matthew 11:28 resonates deeply: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." We pray for the gift of rest, for profound peace, and for the liberating experience of true freedom from addiction’s chains. Comfort their hearts, granting them the strength and patience needed to support their loved ones on this arduous journey.
